1. Introduction

Clowy ('the App') respects the privacy of its users. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: voice recordings you create, text you enter, language preferences, and general usage data (such as frequency of use and features used). We do not intentionally request or require your full name, address, phone number, or highly sensitive information to use the core features of the App.

3. Recording Storage and Processing

Your voice recordings are transmitted to our servers for transcription and task list generation. Recordings are stored until deleted by the user. We use third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, for processing, subject to their own privacy policies. We will never sell, rent, or share your recordings with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Calendar Sync and Google Calendar

If you choose to enable calendar sync, Clowy may request access to your device calendar or Google Calendar, depending on the option you select in the App. Google Calendar access is requested only after you explicitly enable it in the App settings and approve the Google permission. Clowy uses the Google Calendar Events permission to create, update, and delete Google Calendar events based on tasks, reminders, and checklists that you create in the App.

5. Use of Google User Data and Limited Use Disclosure

The information that may be sent to Google Calendar includes the event title, description, date, time, and checklist items related to the task.

Clowy uses Google user data only to provide the features the user requests, such as account connection and Google Calendar event sync.

Clowy’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Clowy does not sell Google user data, share it with advertisers, use it for targeted advertising, send it to Meta Pixel or analytics tools, or use it to train AI models.

Users can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the App settings or their Google Account settings.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no system is 100% immune, and we recommend not storing highly sensitive information (e.g., passwords, bank details) in recordings.

7. User Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data at any time. To delete your account and data, contact: helloclowy@gmail.com. We will fulfill the request within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you discover that a child has provided us with information, contact us for deletion.

9. Analytics and Tracking Tools

Our website uses analytics and tracking tools to improve our service and site experience, including Google Analytics, Meta Pixel (Facebook), and Microsoft Clarity. These tools may collect information such as pages visited, time on site, button clicks, general device characteristics, heatmaps, and session recordings — without direct personal identification. Google Calendar data is not used for analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. Data collected by these tools is subject to the privacy policies of their respective providers: Google Analytics — policies.google.com/privacy; Meta — www.facebook.com/policy.php; Microsoft Clarity — privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, use the browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. To opt out of Meta tracking, visit: www.facebook.com/adpreferences.

10. Deletion of Third-Party Collected Data

Requests to delete data collected directly by Google Analytics, Meta, or Microsoft Clarity are handled according to those providers' own policies and are outside Clowy's control. To request data deletion from Google, visit myaccount.google.com. To request data deletion from Meta, visit www.facebook.com/help. For Microsoft-related privacy requests, use Microsoft's privacy tools. Data stored directly by Clowy (recordings, account data) can be fully deleted by contacting us.

11. Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
